Via the MacObserver: yet another “attack” on Apple’s iPod has been announced. Announcements like this are part of a pattern that is becoming more and more familiar:

1. Company X announces new “iPod killer”.
2. The geeks over at Slashdot toss it around for a while.
3. Time passes… and we never hear about it again.
4. Some time later, Company Y announces new “iPod killer”.
5. …

Lather. Rinse. Repeat. And through it all, the iPod grows stronger than ever. Too much competition is no competition.
