Cable’s Back

A Time-Warner representative called the house Friday morning, just a few hours after I put in my trouble report. She said that some of their people had been working on the problem, and wanted to know if our connection was back up. Wendy, who was at home to take the call, checked and verified that we were indeed back online. Wendy said the caller implied that our problems were due to this unspecified “work” that had been going on this week, but she gave Wendy no details.

Bottom line: the modem’s been connected and rocking along steadily. I’ve been using it since I got home Friday afternoon, and I’ve seen not one dropout. Woo. Hoo.
