A Major Interview
June 14th, 2005Wendy and Summer have gone across town to take Major to meet a family that’s looking for a dog with "the right personality". Major has been with us for a month now, and has really begun to feel at home here. He’s a terrific dog and we all like him, but I’d really like to see him get a permanent home. Good luck, Major.
Update: 7:45 PM. Wendy just called. Major’s been adopted. See you later, big fella.

Yeah, Chad, I hear you. My sister said the same thing. I often hate to see a dog leave, especially when, like Major, they’ve been with us for more than a couple of weeks. By then they’ve warmed up to you, and you begin to learn their personalities. I look at it this way: every time we have to let go of a dog, that’s one more dog that can make it into the rescue system, and one more dog we can save from the needle. The sacrifice we have to make as a foster family looks small in comparison.
