August 11th, 2005Jim,
I’m a my father-in-law’s house trying to troubleshoot his ongoing broadband connection issues, so this is a bit of test, as well.
Kat and I have 2 boys: Tyler 5 1/2 and Connor 2, and we also have Tuffy, the 100# Golden Retriever 6. We’re in Annapolis, MD, still, and I have changed jobs from CIENA (development group outsourced to India) to Booz Allen Hamilton, where I’ve been for the past 18 months. I finally received my full clearance (TS with full poly) for the second time. The last time I
left the intelligence world for the intelligent world, I said never again, but you know wha they say about saying that…
Kat and I have been married 6 years now, and I’ve been in Annapolis for 8 years, though originally it was supposed to be a “give it a year” sort of move.
It seems you and I are into many of the same things: open source software, iPods/iTunes, mapping, etc. Interesting paths we’ve taken to get to where we are! I would love to hear how you, Wendy, and the girls are doing, as well as your family. I’ll write more later, but I wanted to test this thing out here on my Dad-in-law’s ‘puter.
Take care,
Jerry
