Dear Rita,

Please turn north. We’ve had an excellent summer so far, and we don’t want you ruining it. So please turn north and visit the good people of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana. Or better yet, make a U-turn (you’re in international waters - it’s legal!) and head back into the Atlantic.

And please do so immediately. If you put us into the hands of FEMA, we’re doomed!
