Thanks for the nice comments, Claus. My use of Measure Map and Google Analytics is strictly out of curiosity. I write my weblog here at jimthompson.org strictly for personal use and to keep my friends and family mildly amused and up to date on what's going on in my life. I suppose that if I were trying to build an audience, I'd use the information I get out of the tracking tools to try to adjust content to my audience's needs, but as it is, the tracking tools are just to play with.

Hi Jim!

I really enjoy your comments over at the TechBlog! Congrats on your "citizen-blogger" selection as well! I've just recently started to feed your blog on a regular basis. I really admire your brevity--I'm still a longer-winded blogger. But then, I don't seem to have the time/discipline yet to manage more frequent weekly postings.

You are right. I was a bit general (it being early morning and all) in calling Measure Map an "equivalent" to Google Analytics the other day at TechBlog--although I must confess, I haven't had a chance to use either one, yet. I see you posted some stats using Measure Map. What I'm curious about is a blogger's firsthand experience with either of these. As a blogger, do you find them useful in any way for your blogging work or are they just interesting tools in general?

With Respect,
Claus
