Huntsville in the Spring

April 10th, 2006

I came to North Alabama hoping the dogwoods would be in bloom, and I have not been disappointed. I’ve also discovered that Japanese red maples are popular around Huntsville, although not so numerous as the dogwoods.

Saturday Leigh Ann and I drove around hunting garage, yard, and estate sales. We didn’t find much, but we did see a lot of pretty trees. Today I went back out and took photos of some of the trees we had seen. This first batch was taken on Chandler street, up Pill Hill where all the doctors’ big houses are.

Dogwoods! It’s been so long since I’ve seen a dogwood bloom. Not since UT in the spring. We need to frame some of these pictures.
