Everything the rain touches
July 26th, 2006Looks like another very rainy day. It rained almost all day yesterday, only letting up in the late afternoon. I drove through that rain yesterday morning on my way down to Angleton to protest (successfully) my annual property appraisal. Today the rain started early. It was already raining lightly when I left for work at about 5:30, and it’s now raining steadily. This is the rainiest summer I can remember here on the Texas Gulf coast. It’s a pain, but it helps with heat, and therefore with the power bills.

Every year our property tax appraisal goes up by the legal limit of 10%. Most years we protest, and get the appraisal lowered. No big deal.
