Went out with Wendy today and picked up a new pair of shoes. What you can’t see from this photo is that these are high-top hiking boots. However, they are not for hiking. Ten points to the first person who can guess what specific activity I bought these for. (My immediate family and Jackie’s excluded because you already know.)

Update: Sue got it on the first try. I’ve already started my riding lessons (been meaning to write about that), and I’ve been wearing my old leather-soled cowboy boots. But I’ve had trouble keeping my feet from sliding around in the stirrups. Genna suggested I go get a pair of hiking boots with rubber soles. They actually have lots of nice-looking cowboys with rubber soles too, but I like the look of the hiking boots better.
