The Southeastern Conference has named Auburn punter Kody Bliss its special teams player of the week:

  • Bliss punted six times for a 48.2 yard average as Auburn defeated LSU, 7-3.
  • Bliss had the best game of his Auburn career with two punts over 60 yards (62 and 61 yards) and tied a career-best with four punts inside the LSU 20-yard line.
  • LSU’s average starting field position when it took over possession on punts was its own 24 yard line.

Lindy’s Sports has named Auburn defensive back Eric Brock its defensive player of the week:

Defensive Player of the Week: Auburn safety Eric Brock made a game-saving tackle at the Auburn 4-yard line on the last play of the game as third-ranked Auburn beat sixth-ranked LSU 7-3. One possession earlier Brock had deflected a potential touchdown pass away from an LSU receiver on fourth down.
