Congratulations Aggies!

November 24th, 2006

There’s been a bit of an upset in college football today, as the Texas A&M Aggies have defeated the 11th-ranked Texas Longhorns by a score of 12-7 in Austin. Coming into this game, I didn’t think A&M had a great chance of beating Texas, even though the Aggies have had a pretty good season at 8-3. A&M has a great running game, with an elusive option quarterback in Stephen McGee, and they just hung in there all day against the horns. The winning score came on an option run by McGee to top off an 88-yard drive in which the Aggies ran the ball every play but two, and took nearly nine minutes off the clock. So congrats to my Aggie friends starting with Bobby and Marcia, and as for my Texas friends — Randy, Kevin, Dwight — better luck next year, guys.
