I’m on my own this weekend while Wendy, Summer, and Bryn are on the road. Bryn is riding Laredo in the Summer Schooling Horse Trial at Meadow Creek Park near Kosse, Texas. Atlantis just launched from KSC. SRBs have separated and everything looks beautiful!
Update: They just made the “Press to ATO” call, meaning that Atlantis can still reach orbit if an engine fails. (ATO is Abort to Orbit, the only abort scenario a shuttle has ever used… or so I’m told.)

I started back to work yesterday. Didn’t get in at my usual early hour because I had to check in through the company nurse before resuming my duties. I had to show her my doctor’s permission slip, then she printed another permission form, signed it, and sent me to my boss.
