My next date with the knife

August 17th, 2007

By the time most of you read this, I’ll be at the hospital to get the screw taken out of my shoulder. I expect this operation to be much quicker and simpler than the operation to put the screw in. They only need a small incision and have no ligaments to repair or reattach. I’m also betting that they won’t need to give me that nerve block like last time. The doctor just has to reach in there with his Black & Decker and back that screw out. It will go well.

Update: Back from the hospital and all is well. The actual operation only took 15 minutes. Prep and recovery were both longer. About to eat breakfast before I starve to death.

I still think you should mount it on a plaque with the caption, “The worst screw I ever had!” and the date of your accident, to commemorate the event. ;P

    LOL Gin! Great idea.

Jim – I was going to wish you well this a.m. but when I read the Black & Decker part, suddenly became a bit queasy. Glad all went well and that you’re no longer screwed (together.) :-)
