Mama Drama con Queso II
January 13th, 2008Yesterday I went to a gathering of Houston-area bloggers called Mama Drama con Queso II. I got to meet a lot of people I have been chatting with on Twitter, on Flickr, and on their blogs. It was a real good time.
In no particular order, I got to meet Jenny, Laura, Dog Nanny, Marc, Tracy, Therese, The Pear Lady, Christine K, Mike, Christine Big Pink Cookie, Elaine, Kymberlie, Kevin and Kara, Jeff, Ed, Jamie, Polimom, and
Susan.
Robert Nagle, who knows I love gadgets, brought his two OLPCs for us all to play with. Unfortunately, there was no wi-fi at the restaurant, so we didn’t get to see what our blogs look like on an OLPC.
Robert dropped the OLPC on the table, and said “IQ test — see if you could figure out how to open it.” I couldn’t.
So Robert showed me how to open it. I wasn’t even trying to open the right side.
Big thanks to Ed Truitt, blogger and frequent TechBlog commenter, for letting me use his photos. Ed has more photos here. Thanks to Jenny and Laura for a great gathering.

I was fabulous to finally meet you! And I never would have figured out how to open it either. I’d have tried using my fork.

It’s nice when the photos tell a story - and it happens to be correct!
Glad I got the chance to meet you, hopefully we can do it again in 3 months or so.

It was equally great to [finally] meet you as well, Jim. And, that photo really did capture one of many great moments we all had. Hopefully, we can do it again soon. In the meantime, I’ll see you on the boards. :)

I was Googling myself (ohmy!) and came up with it…. I dunno what “rdf” means, but I’m thinking YOU will…
